INTRANETS: How to create effective content

Overheard in the IT Manager's Office -

- "OK. The home page is up, and the telephone directory, and the newsletter, and the email is hooked in - what next?"
- "The GM and the Division Managers want the Policies and Procedures and our other paper manuals online!"
- "Good God, have they looked at that lot lately? There's reams of it. Half of it is out of date, and the files are all over the place. Once we do get the stuff online, who is going to maintain it and how? And what about ISO 9000 - that effort cost us blood, we don't want to jeapordise that in the process."
- "Well, I'm not sure. But we did spend quite a bit of time running some of it through an HTML converter."
- "Yes. I saw that. No offence, but it didn't look exactly .. er .. 'user friendly' ........."

If any of this sounds familiar, you can put an end to this conversation by contacting us. We specialise in putting large documents onto Intranets, and we can help you knock them into shape, convert them to HTML, and set up systems to allow information owners to do their own maintenance and ISO compliance (in fact, handle it more easily and efficiently).
