Established in 1981, HCi is a leading provider of information development services to private and public sector enterprises. HCi's core competency is documentation ... specifically, documentation of the large and complex information sets critical to an organisation’s success. These information sets include user documentation, online help, systems manuals, corporate operations manuals, QA and compliance management systems.Phil Cohen, Director of HCi, said today, "We are very pleased to have our expertise in this area recognised, particularly by an organisation like Optimus, who we believe have a very bright future in the document management systems area." "While we will continue to give completely unbiased advice about document management systems, we recognise that MediaManager fits a need that we see at a number of our clients, for a low-cost, robust and friendly system. Compared to more expensive systems, MediaManager provides the most important 80% of their functionality at 20% of the complexity." "As a Certified Implementer, HCi will also be ideally placed to help existing MediaManager clients with content issues, and with the interplay between content and technical implementation." "We have been searching for a number of years for a low-cost highly scalable system that is browser-based, and we've finally found one in this new version of MediaManager. We will be working closely with Optimus to feed back to them the document management needs of the many and varied clients we deal with, so that they can continue to enhance their product."
