How much will it cost?

Wage and hourly rates for web authors vary according to experience and capability. Specialists - eg web authors who are technically very competent - can are often more expensive per hour than non-specialists.

Typical rates for our web authors are between $65 and $95 per hour. Generally, authors at lower rates are less experienced, and often less productive, so that the cost for your project may not be reduced by looking for a low rate - it might actually cost you more in total!

Our clients normally need one or more authors for periods between four weeks and twelve months. A longer contract period usually means a lower hourly rate. The rate that we give you for a particular author will be inclusive of all taxes, superannuation, insurance, except GST.

Salaries for authors range between $70K and $90K, plus super. Experienced web architects and authors who can control and mentor a team of other authors will range between $80K and $100K. To find a web architect or author that matches a client's requirements, we charge the client a percentage of the web author's first year's salary.
