How much will it cost?

Wage and hourly rates for technical writing vary according to experience and capability.  Specialists (eg technical writers who are also programmers, or technical writers who are also experts in quality management) are often more expensive per hour than non-specialists.

Our clients normally need one or more technical writers for periods between two weeks and twelve months.  A longer technical writing contract period usually means a lower hourly rate.  The rate that we give you for a particular writer will be inclusive of all taxes, superannuation, insurance, except GST.

Generally, technical writers at lower rates are less experienced, and often less productive, so that the cost for your project may not be reduced by looking for a low rate - it might actually cost you more in total!

To find a permanent technical writer that matches a client's requirements, we charge the client a percentage of the technical writer's first year's salary.
